I was born and raised in Southern Manitoba. I grew up in a family of four girls and loved every minute of it. After high school I carried on my education at the University of Manitoba and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness Management. Through University I worked at a variety of jobs spanning from Running and Operating a pig barn to serving on a golf course. Loving all of them, I continued with my passion for business and agriculture and landed a career with Farm Credit Canada as an Account Manager. Eager to learn and grow I moved with the company to Lethbridge where I met my husband and now am here to stay. As much as I loved the challenges of my job I always dreamed about the beauty industry and making a positive impact on women. I’m pretty sure being an entrepreneur is in my blood, because if I had more time I would start five more businesses that all would be value added aspects of Prim… one day maybe. I am now a mother of three, I have two step daughters and a little boy that I pour my energy into and there is nothing in the world I would rather do. Motherhood is truly the best job and only emphasizes my passion for working with women and helping them be the best they can be.
I knew early in my life that my calling was in the beauty industry. I started working in a salon in Medicine Hat when I was twelve and stayed there till I was eighteen, completing my apprenticeship. I then took my training here in Lethbridge and completed my journeyman at Prim. After two and a half years of working at Prim as a journeyman hairstylist I transitioned into management. I do both now and it is the best combination for me! I am such an organizational queen that the transition from hands on to planning was simple and natural.
Massage therapy has helped me immensely in my own life which is why I decided to become one myself. I thought if I could make just one person feel the same way I would be happy. I began my training in 2007 and have continued until today. I have specialized in pre and post natal and different trigger point methods. My real passion seems to be inspired by Eastern Healing; Asian stone therapy, Thai energy massage, and reflexology – it’s all so fascinating. My job is awesome, people are pretty happy to see me and always leave in a relaxed fog.
I have been a stylist for three years now. My love for hairstyling grows every day and I have been privileged with the ability to attend in salon training and product knowledge throughout Southern Alberta. My clients all have a special place in my heart. Not from just doing their hair but building relationships with them. It’s so much fun and they are the main reason why I love my job.
Ever since I was a young girl I have always wanted to do hair and play with make-up. When my friends would come over for play dates, it always ended with me doing their hair…sometimes even cutting it. I would do hair for theatre productions, my older friend’s graduation, family/friend pictures etc. In hair school we were called “future professionals/daymakers”. Daymaker describes what I do best. When my guests sit in my chair I love to teach them about the products I used on their hair, and how to recreate the style I did on them. At the end of the day, nothing makes me happier than seeing a smile on my guests face! I took my training at Paul Mitchell in Provo Utah. There I learned how to cut and colour hair, wax and apply make-up. I have been out of school for five years now.
My training begun over eleven years ago. I attended Del Mar in Calgary and since then I have taken numerous classes to continue my education. I adore my job because every day I get to come into an amazing place, work side by side with the greatest girls and help make people’s days better! I consider my clients my friends and feel so grateful that they want to spend their time with me.
I work with Bumble and Bumble which is what I consider the best product line in the world and would strongly recommend multiple products for every client.
I have been in the beauty industry for over ten years now and I am internationally trained stylist. I started my career with a passion for Sassoon cutting. I am now an educator for Bumble and Bumble, attending annually courses in New York City. I am addicted to the look of excitement in my client’s eyes when they see themselves for the first time after a change.
I have been a stylist for twelve years and still continue to love it. Over the years I have attended plenty of courses for hands on styling and product knowledge. I will continue to always take courses because it is key to grow professionally and personally. I love building a strong relationship with my clients and making them feel great about themselves and their hair.
I have been a stylist for a year now and I can honestly say I love what I do! To me, there is nothing more exciting than helping someone realize their beauty.
I am currently apprenticing to be a hairstylist and esthetician. I love every minute of it and I look forward to going to work every day.
